TWENTY YEARS ALREADY!
On October 11, 2001, Mica Troc opened its doors and offered a vitamin-rich selection of vintage, second-hand and antique goods. Twenty years ago, Galerie MICA was in its infancy. After studying cabinet making, sculpture and art history, Michaël Chéneau, the gallery's founder, began training in design, modern art and contemporary art in 2003. Galerie MICA was awakening. A few more years would be necessary to shape it and give it the guiding line that today makes it so unique.
Deeply marked by three years spent in southern Africa, inspired and encouraged by decisive encounters in France and abroad, Michaël Chéneau is now celebrating twenty years of research, innovation and involvement in the artistic and economic fabric of Brittany. Twenty years of fruitful collaborations that have led to the creation and publication of 120 objects. In three photos (from the period!) and a few key dates, discover the evolution of the gallery, from its modest beginnings to the largest international exhibitions, from its vintage objects to its creations acquired by major national institutions.
