Since 1993, Dominique Mathieu has worked with a number of design and architecture agencies, training in furniture design, interior architecture, architecture and scenography. In 2000, he opened his own studio, focusing on furniture and objects. His work revolves around research and production projects. From this initial output, many pieces have found their way into national collections, including the Centre Georges Pompidou and the FNAC. He was a resident at the Villa Médicis in 2000 and 2001.
