Born in 1984, Louise de Saint Angel lives and works in Paris. In 2003, she began studying interior architecture at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Techniques (E.S.A.T). After a first professional experience in a museum design agency, she chooses to continue her apprenticeship with industrial designers such as Gilles Belley or Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. In 2010, she opened a studio, STATUE, in collaboration with the designer Romain Guillet. Together, driven by a common taste for transdisciplinary creativity and an open notion of design, they develop spatial and formal projects. At the same time, since 2012 they have been creating textile projects for other designers such as Jean Baptiste Fastrez. Now self-employed, she works on different creative fields ranging from furniture to product design. Currently, Louise de Saint Angel is focusing on textile self-production, as part of a permanent exchange between industry and the creative arts.
