Florence Doléac is a graduate from the École Nationale Supérieure for Industrial Design in Paris (1994); in 1997 she co-founded the trading partnership RADI DESIGNERS group. In 2003, she set up her own practice and in 2006, she became a teacher at the Paris School of Applied Arts. Her work fits into the interstice between Design and Art, where modes of presentation and production vacillate between the commercial and the institutional: not only does she bring into play a field of tension between production and presentation with her humorous and poetic responses, she also asks questions about functionality and its counterpart, pointlessness.
