Campana is Italian for ‘bell’: table campanes is a real hybrid in that it is a table but also rings ou whenever the clapper is activated and hits the cast-iron wall. This sculptural item suggests how rituals may develop around an object, punctuating daily life in the way that ancient gongs in distant countries mark out the time for meditation or other rites.
