Fabrice Hyber's "Prototypes d'Objets en Fonctionnement" (P.O.F.) are born of the desire to free the spectator from a contemplative logic in favour of the active appropriation of the works.

The P.O.F. intervene directly with reality and are above all playful instructions for use. First designed and then produced and marketed by the company Unlimited Responsibility, founded by Hyber in 1994, in the current distribution mode, the artist brings art closer to the business world.

Endowed with a new use, the reinvented objects give rise to innovative practices and modify the perception of the everyday life of the spectators-actors.

A prototype in aluminium, steel and spirit level was acquired by the Centre Pompidou, France.
